Other menu highlights include the indulgent 10 Oz Prime Rib of Beef Dinner, the uniquely flavorful Prime Rib Enchiladas, and the German Jaeger Schnitzel—a delightful nod to European influences. For a lighter yet equally satisfying option, the Poppies Salmon Salad blends fresh greens with perfectly cooked salmon, offering a refreshing balance to the robust entrees. And dessert enthusiasts will find themselves tempted by the rich, comforting Bread Pudding—a perfect finale to any meal.

The food never disappoints. Love that no matter which meal you decide to order it is delicious and fresh. The staff is always friendly and helpful in deciding which item to order. Looking forward to dining there for thanksgiving!

Enjoyed celebrating my birthday at Poppies. It was our first time there, but it will not be our last. The food and staff were excellent! We wanted to try something new. Even though it is a 25 min drive for us, it was well worth it. Well done Poopies!!!!!

Loved this place. We were desperate to eat where there was free parking after being in our downtown hotel with no street parking or free lots anywhere. Googled this place, and it didn’t disappoint. Huge portions and delicious. Only complaint were that the fries weren’t crisp, seemed like they were sitting for a while. Excellent service and great booths. We had a table for two in the front and it was perfect. The salmon salad was excellent-the addition of real crispy bacon and feta cheese made it so much better than the typical ones you find. Happy hour starts early!

A friend told me to give Poppies a try. I’m always looking for new local places. 4 If us came for lunch. It was a good experience. Service was on point. Food was good. My only observation was I don’t think prime rib should never be served MW, even as a sandwich. Dessert was good too. It’s not a cheap place. With appetizers, lunch, dessert; lunch was $50 per person. We will be back. Support local.

Very busy neighborhood restaurant that draws a large early dinner crowd. The on-line menu is not quite the same as the one at the restaurant. Notably, they did not have the beef stroganoff which had drawn my attention. They did have interesting choices anyway. The beef medallions were cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered. The green beans and mashed potato were also very good. Service was fine being fast and friendly. The space was dark since they had drawn the blinds, but it wasn't too bad. Seating was comfortable. Between the large crowd and the music, it was very noisy. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for customers. The fairly large parking lot was nearly full, but there were a few spaces available.

Love this hidden gem! I was told about this place by a colleague that wanted to meet for lunch and now I have been here 3 times in the last year despite the fact that I live on the North side of Denver 45 min. away with traffic. Food is amazing and my husband loved the chocolate chip cookies I brought home for him. I have had salads, bowls and this week their Dover Sole-Delicious!!!

Here's a glowing 5-star review for Sharon: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Poppies Restaurant and Lounge is truly a hidden gem, and Sharon is a big part of what makes it so special! She's an absolute delight—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm smile. Lunches and happy hour here, especially with Sharon as our server, are simply the best. Her service makes every visit feel personal and memorable. Poppies has that classic, old-school South Colorado charm that you don't find much anymore, and Sharon's presence only adds to the experience. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the wonderful service Sharon provides!
